Systemair Revolution Silenced V2 Vector EC Fan
The Systemair Revolution Silenced V2 Vector EC Fan is a new generation of super-silent fans and is ideal for hydroponic grow rooms and tents.
The V2 model is quieter than the original because it has a foam covering instead of stainless steel.
The special sealed housing is the result of a team of engineers who developed this new solution to reduce the noise of the fan’s airflow. The fans also have silent motors with double-balanced blades.
The Vector EC V2 offer a few handy features and attributes, including:
- Whisper-quiet operation, almost silent when Phonic Trap Ducting is attached
- State-of-the-art frictionless EC motor
- It has sound-absorbing foam for extra quiet running
- Will not absorb dust or moisture
- Very lightweight compared to the original
- Silent motors fitted with double-balanced blades
- New impeller design streams air much more efficiently
The V2’s innovative housing features a sound-reducing foam designed especially for ventilation systems. The metal flanges insert into the housing with rubber grommets to form a seal. The entire fan, with its flanges and silencing tube, inserts into a lightweight, robust outer body, deadening all sound.
How Does the Systemair Revolution Silenced V2 Vector EC Fan Work?
Vector fan products have frictionless motors that have approximately half the power demands of the average duct fan. They are perfect for producing substantial pressure levels that can move a lot of air, and there isn’t any issue related to drag factor when using carbon filters.
These fans can be rendered totally soundless by connecting Phonic Trap Ducting to them.
Please note: Vector fans must have a G.A.S Fan Speed Controller to operate, specifically for their EC motors.
The use of the fan controller provides exceptional accuracy in 1% increments, attained without humming and buzzing. Whenever you turn a Vector fan down to 1%, you will get 1% of the maximum output with 1% of its power.
The Revolution Silenced V2 fan has been designed to be entirely air-tight and has a fully sealed composite housing. There are no little spaces of the sort that you may get in traditional fans, resulting in unwelcome odours escaping your grow room or tent.
How To Choose Which Model of Fan
The fan model you should select depends on the air volume to extract from your grow space which is the rated airflow. You can measure this rating in cubic metres per hour (m3/h) or cubic feet per minute (CFM)
Altogether you’ll need:
- An extractor fan to take the air out of your grow room
- Air vents to suck air in, or add a second, smaller extractor fan to draw fresh air in
- A separate 5m power cable for each extractor fan
- A carbon filter (for your extractor fan only)
- A suitable length of ducting
- 3 x Duct Clips
- 2 x Rope Ratchets (strongly recommended) to support your fan(s)
How to Use?
Connect a power lead to the fan and ascertain the direction the air is flowing. Air needs to draw out of your grow space or into your grow area for intake. A small arrow on the fan’s casing might indicate which way the air moves.
To connect everything, affix a suitable length of ducting to the fan’s exhaust using a duct clip, then feed the ducting through the duct port in your grow tent or into the area you wish to vent.
Affix the other end of the fan to your carbon filter using a clamp or small piece of ducting and a duct clip.
