How To Choose Which Model of Fan

The fan model you should select depends on the air volume to extract from your grow space which is the rated airflow. You can measure this rating in cubic metres per hour (m3/h) or cubic feet per minute (CFM)

In total, you will need:

• Extractor fan to remove the air out of your grow room
• Air vents to draw fresh air in, or a second, smaller extractor fan
• 5m power cable for each fan
• Carbon filter (for the extractor only)
• A suitable length of Ducting
• 3 x Duct Clips
• 2 x Rope Ratchets (strongly recommended) to support the fan(s)

How To Use?

Connect a mains cable to the fan and establish the airflow direction.

Air needs to travel out of your grow tent or growing area for extraction and into your growing area for intake. A little arrow on the fan’s casing may indicate how the air travels.

To connect the equipment, secure a suitable length of ducting to the exhaust side of your fan using a duct clip, then feed the ducting through the duct port on your tent or to the area you want to vent.

Attach the other end of the fan to your carbon filter using a fast clamp or a small length of ducting and a clip.
