How do these pump and pressure sprayers work?
These pump and pressure sprayers are a beneficial addition to a busy growing room. They remove the hassle of deploying foliar feeds and pest or disease control treatments to your plants. With a maximum 8-litre capacity, the larger models take care of more extensive growing areas with no problem, while the smaller models cater for less expansive setups.
The top part of the container with the pressure plunger can be screwed off so that users can fill the bottle and mix any foliar feeds, pesticides or herbicides without needing a separate container.
The nozzle adjusts from completely closed to a fine spray onto a powerful jet, with every stage in between. When the bottle is full, the plunger should be repeatedly lifted and pushed down again, and it’s this action which creates the pressure inside.
If excessive pressure appears, have no fear because the handy pressure release valve at the top of the bottle is there to take care of this.
Squeezing the trigger forces the liquid up through the tube and out the spraying lance nozzle. If dealing with larger growing areas, you don’t have to hold the trigger down for an extended time: instead, you slide the blue trigger cover to keep it locked in place, allowing you to spray as much as you need without any further effort. On the larger models, you can use the supplied strap to bear the sprayer’s weight, turning a thirty-minute task into a ten-minute breeze.
How do I use a pump and pressure sprayer?
Fill the bottle up to the fill mark indicator and screw the top on firmly. Pull and push the plunger down a few times to build up good pressure in the container. Then adjust the product’s nozzle for the kind of spray that you want, aim its spraying lance towards your plants and press the trigger on the handle.
Only spray your plants when the grow lights are off. Don’t allow spray to contact the grow lights, electrical outlets, or appliances. When applying the spray, wearing some protective clothing, including eye protection and a mask, may be wise.
Always clean the container after use to avoid any build-up and deposit of salts and residue in the nozzle, which will also maximise the product’s working life.
