• How Does The DWC System Work?
• This product is a deep water culture system, a method where the plant’s roots submerge in net pots over a highly O2 enriched nutrient solution in what is called a bubbler.

This method requires less growing medium, and only a few clay pebbles are needed. The root system will thrive and flourish on this oxygen, growth will be very rapid, and yields will be spectacular. But when working with large numbers of bubblers, the nutrient solution changes; therefore, checks and maintenance could become a chore if each unit is dealt with individually.

These bubbler kits solve this by connecting each bubbler unit to a reservoir. The technology developed in IWS flood and drain kits has been used here to fill, empty, and refill each bubbler according to a pre-programmed schedule. You don’t have to deal with separate containers anymore; you make up the nutrient solution for the system’s reservoir and let the brain work out what to do next.

Because nutrients can be drawn back to the reservoir at different times each day, such nutrient solutions become correctly mixed and are spread uniformly across each of the bubblers at all times.

How Do I Use The DWC System?

The DWC system is straightforward to assemble and use. You’ll need a good knife or scissors for cutting through the IWS pipe, a spanner, and a suitably sized container of hot water to soften the end of the piping and thereby make it easy to fit onto the supplied elbow, tee and straight connectors.

The brain and the pots need to be on the same level surface, or the system will either underfill or overfill your pots. You will then need to set up the tank, which is a quick and easy process: you unfold and open the waterproof outer, insert the support poles into the sleeves at the side and then fit the feet onto the undersides of each of the poles.

When running this system, never refill the tank with the bubbler buckets full. By doing this, when you draw the water back into your reservoir, water may overflow above the volume capacity and cause a hazard.

Take measures to prevent any water damage from occurring. Even with a carefully set up system, accidents can sometimes happen, resulting in water spilling onto the floor. So always place your system in a high-sided tray, or use floor-secure sheeting on the growing room floor. Always take sensible precautions as it’s better to be safe than sorry.
