How do they Work?

AIR duct fans are intake/outlet fans for extracting the old air from your growing area and supplying it with fresh air. Its housing is lightweight but robust and has external ports for easy connection to filters, ducting, air socks and other accessories. The fan may be directly powered from the mains or using a fan speed controller. These are very well-made and quiet when in use.

How to use an AIR Mixed Flow Fan?

An AIR fan draws air from your growing area through a carbon filter or ducting. It can be mounted in any location using the bracket supplied so that the airflow direction matches the direction of the arrow mark on the fan’s casing.

On the output side of the fan, you should fit your ducting over the outlet sleeve, securing it in place with a Duct Clip. Repeat for the inlet side.

If you want to fit a carbon filter, this must have a similar airflow as the fan. An electrical feed to the fan will come from your mains supply or a fan speed controller. Remember that fitting a carbon filter will reduce airflow by about 25%. When turning a corner within the ducting, you should try to create a gentle bend rather than a sharp one as that would reduce airflow by the minimum and also helps to reduce the wind noise.
