How Does it Work?

The Hotbox Sulfume heats sulphur by using a thermostatically controlled hotplate. It heats the sulphur to the level it slowly vapourises into the growing room. With this controlled heating action, the product will not form any toxic combustion compounds such as sulphur dioxide and only produces sulphur vapour.

Sulphur vapour will kill mould spores and prevent the spread of rot and fungi. Sulphur is also very toxic to spider mites and other growing room pests. The product releases a consistent 2g dose of sulphur over 8 hours, ensuring there can be no wastage.

This product helps to protect your plants from fungal diseases like mildew, botrytis and black spot. It also inhibits the unwanted spread of greenhouse pests. Its unique temperature control regulator cannot overheat the sulphur and create damaging compounds. Instead, it releases only pure sulphur. Also, its regulated element makes combustion quite impossible and eliminates the risk of fires, making this one of the safest pesticides on the market.

The product is very energy efficient, having the lowest energy consumption of any sulphur evaporator available today. Its adjustable voltage can work on any mains supply from 110V to 250V without any performance loss. This product is built to last and made from high-quality materials to ensure durability.

How Do I Use a Sulphur Vapouriser?

The Sulphur Vapouriser may be used to treat a growing room of up to 100m2 in area. Suspend it near the centre of the grow space at least one metre below the ceiling to allow the sulphur vapour plenty of room to dissipate adequately. The sulphur container inside the product should be filled to the mark indicated with the sulphur and then put onto the internal hotplate.

During treatment times, it will be necessary to switch off the growing room or grow tent extraction and intake fans so that the sulphur stays within the space to do its job. In practice, the best time to use this product is during the dark period. Treatments will take about eight hours, and you could use a timer to switch the product on and off.

Use it regularly as a preventative measure to eradicate ongoing infestations and as often as necessary, even during every dark period for about a week or so, until pests are under control.
