Plant Magic Coco Bricks
Plant Magic Coco Bricks are an oxygen-rich growing substrate compressed into a compact block that swells when you soak it in water.
Coco coir is a by-product of the fibre content within coconuts. It’s an environmentally friendly and sustainable compound that manufacturers mechanically extract from coconut shells and reduce further to make it smaller.
This pack comprises 24 blocks containing compressed coco substrate that enables roots to develop and thrive, so your plants will reach their fullest potential. Each block needs soaking in water to expand into 8 litres, which is incredibly convenient, especially if you don’t want to haul large, 50-litre bags.
These bricks are perfect for use in your hydroponic setup, as they have the following handy features and benefits:
- Made by Plant Magic for guaranteed quality
- Coco provides an optimal growing environment
- Much more portable than traditional growing media
- It leads to robust root growth and healthy plant development
- Straightforward to use by soaking in water
How does this product work?
Coco coir can provide a rapid growth process to produce significant results. When using it in the correct proportions, you can spend more time investing in the growing process and less time feeding your plants.
The processing of this substrate involves buffering and rinsing to ensure it arrives at an optimal consistency for delivering superior plant growth and development. It comprises Trichoderma, a naturally occurring fungus that plants use to thrive.

How do I use this product?
Before using these coco bricks, you need to hydrate them in water.
Remove each brick from the packaging and place it in a suitably sized container. The larger, the better, as this enables more expansive root development.
Add approximately four litres of water and leave the compressed brick to expand for around ten minutes. The water will absorb into the coco block, and the moisture will help to break down the substrate.
Once the block has soaked up most of the water, you can use your hands to crumble the remaining substrate, adding more water as necessary to get the coco damp but not overly saturated.
Growers using Coco bricks as a potting medium often add combinations of other nutrients, such as worm castings or vermiculite. The substrate can go to work immediately for use as a starter seed mix, as no other ingredients are necessary.
