Plant Magic 70/30 50L is ideal for hand-watering or hydroponic dripper systems. This product is a blend of 70% top-quality coco and 30% perlite, with a tiny quantity of added Trichoderma.

The coco improves nutrient uptake, and the perlite has superb water and air retention to provide the kind of aeration crucial for healthy plant root development.

How does it Work?

Plant Magic Plus 70/30 Coco Perlite Mix is a high-quality blend of coco and perlite, roughly in these proportions, with a small quantity of Mycorrhizae.

This blend improves on plain coco with its increased O2 and drainage properties. It needs to be watered more frequently than coco, but its enhanced properties mean you’ll see much faster and healthier root development.

The product has a light, smooth consistency that plant roots appreciate because of the addition of the 30% perlite, which is an inert growing medium originally produced naturally from volcanic glass.

Perlite helps with drainage, allowing the nutrient solution to flow freely through the growing medium. Because of this, it will need more frequent watering than normal unblended coco without any additives, but the advantage of using this is faster growth and healthier crops at harvest. It’s also worth bearing in mind that, with improved drainage, you will also reduce the incidence of root diseases such as pythium.

How to Use?

Plant Magic 70/30 Coco Perlite Mix works right out of the bag. It contains no nutrients by itself, so you’ll need to begin feeding with your nutrient solution of choice as soon as you can. Please note that this will require more frequent watering in practice than normal or unblended coco or coco coir, as described above.
