How do these drying racks work?

A drying rack is a fantastic solution to dry large amounts of flowers, fruit, herbs and other plant matter as quickly as possible. Like most growers, space will be at a premium; there won’t be enough horizontal space to dry everything, so this vertically tiered net is the answer.

It opens out quickly from being completely flat for easy storage and expands from one to eight levels.

This product has a fabric strap to suspend it from the ceiling of your growing room or the top of your tent. The netting is non-absorbent, so it will not absorb moisture from any plant material, as this may become a problem over time and develop into a breeding ground for mould.

How do I use a drying rack?

Suspend your drying rack and carefully and evenly insert the plant material you want to dry on each shelf, taking care to put an even load on each. You should not put several layers of plant material on each tier because this will increase the risk of mould eventually occurring.

Suspend the net from a hook at least 1.7 metres off the floor.

The fabric strap on the rack hooks over your chosen fixture, and the net will open like a concertina.

The compartments have netted sides to keep all your produce inside, and each has an aperture for access.

Spread the plant matter evenly throughout the drying rack because large amounts of damp produce lumped together may be a risk for mould and bacteria forming.

Please ensure adequate air circulation within your room, whether in the growing room or outside, and don’t point fans directly at the net.

Maintain a cool temperature with a relative humidity of about 60% for optimal results.

After use, you can unhook the item from your hooking point and lay it on the floor. The shelves will converge again to make a tidy, flat circular shape for easy storage.
