Plant Vitality Killermite is a powerful insecticide that effectively and quickly destroys leaf miners, flower thrips and spider mites infestations.

Once you’ve spotted these symptoms, you’ll know that you need to act quickly to prevent your crop from being blighted and limit damage to your plants as much as possible.

Your final yield will be in danger if you don’t take action fast, and you’ll want an insecticide which will handle this problem immediately. This product will do just that. It contains abamectin, which is deadly to insects but has relatively little toxicity to mammals.

How does this insecticide work?

Killermite is a popular product in the Plant Vitality range that works to manage and control leaf miners, flower thrips and spider mites. It will handle infestations of these pests quickly and effectively without causing undue stress to your plants and minimise the damage caused by them.

It is highly concentrated, so a 250ml bottle will make up to 500 litres, which is ample for any sized commercial growing room.

How do I use Killermite Insecticide?

Dilute with water, add this to your spray gun and use it to spray on both the upper and lower sides of the plant leaves. Always do this when the lights are off to avoid the risk of electrical hazards.

Usage varies slightly depending on what species you’re aiming to eradicate.

For flower thrips, you should apply the product at the first sign of their nymphs. Make up 2 or 3 applications, and leave a week between each treatment. Dilute at a concentration of 0.5ml per litre of water.

For leaf miners, you should apply the product at the first sign of seeing the damage and leave a week between each treatment. Dilute a concentration of 0.5ml per litre of water.

For spider mites, you should apply immediately after spotting the mites or noticing leaf damage. Use the product on its own in the first week, and if the problem persists, you should use it in conjunction with another product with a slightly different mode of action. Dilute at a concentration of 0.25ml per litre of water.

Be aware that this product contains abamectin 1.84%.
Because of its potency and systemic action, do not use this product when plants are flowering, especially if you’re growing any consumable plants.
