Growth Technology pH Up

Growth Technology pH Up is a pH level management additive. The correct pH level in your nutrient solution is critical to the health of your plants and the success of your crop. If the pH falls out of the accepted range, it will have a detrimental effect on your plants.

Your nutrient solution pH level should be somewhere between 5.5 and 6.5. By adding this product, you will raise the pH levels.

How Does it Work?

PH Up raises the pH levels of your nutrient solution to correct any imbalances caused by adding other products that fulfil different functions.

Your plants need a supply of nutrients within an acceptable pH range, so this will stabilise them again. This formula is very concentrated, so only use a small amount, diluted in just a few millilitres of water at first; then add more to your nutrient solution a few drops at a time, checking the pH at regular intervals.

How to Use?

You only need a small amount of pH Up to drastically raise the pH of your nutrient solution, so dilute a small amount in a few millilitres of water at first, then test again, and then add more as necessary.

You should never use pH Up and pH Down together (of whatever brand). If you’ve accidentally used too much pH Down, don’t use pH Up to try to correct the problem (and vice versa). Instead, dispose of the nutrient solution and prepare a new batch.

PH Up is 25% potassium hydroxide, and pH Down is 81% phosphoric acid, so you should take great care when using both. If either comes into contact with the eyes, skin, or clothing or if swallowed, you should immediately rinse with clean water.

Always read the label before use. Always make sure that your pH meter is clean and properly maintained. Rinse it between use and calibrate it regularly using a trusted pH calibration additive to ensure that the readings are always accurate.
