Dutchpro pH- Bloom
Dutchpro pH- Bloom is for reducing the pH levels of your nutrient solution, and it’s ideal for use in the blooming stage of hydroponic growing systems because it provides a good source of phosphorous.
For your plants’ vegetative stage, use Pro pH- Grow, which contains nitric acid.
PH- Bloom is highly concentrated, and the recommended pH is 5.5 to 6.5. You add small amounts to your nutrient solution until you reach the desired pH level.
This product offers several distinct features, and they include the following:
- Reduces the pH level of your nutrient solution
- It consists of concentrated 30% phosphoric acid
- It should always be kept handy along with its opposite, pH+
- Used to regulate the pH range outside of which your plants may suffer deficiencies
- It provides a good source of phosphorous, which is highly useful during a plant’s flowering stage
- It requires handling with care as it is corrosive and can be dangerous
How Does it Work?
This product works to reduce the pH of most fluids. In hydroponic or aeroponic growing, it’s necessary to keep an eye on the pH levels and ensure that they stay within a certain range, depending on the species of plants and other conditions.
Phosphoric acid is known for its stable qualities and is ideal in the flowering stage. Most plants need a pH range between 5.5 and 6.5 when grown in hydroponic systems, as this is the optimum range in which plants can easily absorb all the nutrients. If the pH veers out of this range, your plants will not be able to absorb certain nutrients and risk developing deficiencies and possibly disease. This product is added in small quantities to your nutrient solution to keep it within this range.
How to Use?
PH- Bloom works during your plants’ flowering/fruiting phase. First, measure the pH of your nutrient solution by taking a small sample with a pipette and testing it with a digital tester.
You might find that it does not need adjusting. But if it does, draw off 500ml of solution in a jug and add a small quantity of the product with a pipette. Stir this well to mix.
Now add this back into your reservoir in small stages. Stir well after each addition and test the solution again in the same way.
Do this until the pH is in the desired range, generally between 5.5 and 6.5.
Please note: If pH Up and pH Down ever come into contact, they will react violently and even cause an explosion, even in small quantities. Be extremely careful when handling these two types of products, as they are corrosive and usually cause irritation to your skin and burns on your clothing. Always keep well out of the reach of children and animals, and take appropriate precautions when using these.
