How Does it Work?

Ionic Hydro Grow has a very stable pH level because of the reactive buffering it was subjected to during the manufacturing procedure. This pH level reduces the risk of fluctuations in the nutrient reservoir and is less of a burden on the grower.

It is an excellent 1-part base nutrient for any hydroponic system during plants’ vegetative phase. It is straightforward to use but gives constantly excellent results.

All the necessary nutrients for healthy plant growth are available in the same bottle, so there’s no need to go measuring and mixing with separate A and B parts, as is often the case.

Hydro nutrients are available to buy in Grow and Bloom variations. These options depend on the nutritional needs of plants at each of the two stages of the plant growth cycle. The Grow formula maximises vigorous vegetative growth, while the Bloom formula contains the critical elements and minerals that lead to fantastic flowering.

How to Use?

Fill your reservoir with water, add up to 7ml per litre to the required strength, and stir well to mix. Use a beaker or syringe for accurate measurement and a CF/EC/PPM meter such as the Bluelab Truncheon to check TDS.

The makers recommend an EC of 2.0 for most growing media, such as clay pebbles. However, the ideal EC for Rockwool is 1.5. Adjust the strength as necessary. Then add any additives or boosters you wish to use and stir well to mix.

Adjust the pH of the resulting solution to the required level using a pH up or down as needed. Use a pH meter such as the Horticare pH meter to set the pH level within the required range accurately.

As with all nutrients, additives and boosters, never mix them in their concentrated form (straight out of the bottle). Always add each nutrient, booster or additive to your reservoir or feed water, one after the other, giving the solution a good stir to mix before adding the next one, and so on.

The manufacturer’s recommended dosage rates are for vigorously growing plants only and those at the peak of health. Slower growing plants and plants which are not entirely healthy will need a lower dosage.
