Dutchpro Hydro Coco Grow A&B is a two-part base nutrient for use in all hydroponic systems and plants grown in coco coir during the vegetative stage of development.

How Does it Work?

Hydro Coco Grow is a two-part nutrient that has been formulated specifically for plants in their vegetative (growing) stage. Two variants are available, one for hard water areas and the other for soft water areas. The product is ideal for all hydroponic uses and systems where coco or coco coir is the growing medium. 

This product contains a unique blend of ingredients that provides all the macronutrients and micronutrients your plants need to grow strong and remain healthy. You can safely use other products in the Dutchpro range with this base nutrient, including Take Root, Keep It Clean and Multi Total. The makers also have a pH down formulation based on nitric acid as it works better in the growth stages for plants.

How to Use?

Fill up your hydroponic reservoir or coco feed tank with water and equal amounts of Hydro Coco Grow for parts A and B to the required strength, then mix the solution well. The manufacturers advise a concentration of 2.5ml to 3.5ml per litre of water for parts A and B. They also suggest using a beaker or syringe for accurate measurement. 

Use a CF/EC/PPM meter to check the TDS; a Bluelab Truncheon meter would do nicely. Adjust the TDS as necessary. You may add any other items such as boosters or other additives at this stage. Adjust the pH of your resulting nutrient solution and adjust this accordingly up or down as needs be; a Bluelab pH Pen would do this very accurately for you. The pH levels to aim for will differ depending on whether you are in a hard or soft water area, so check the recommendations on the bottle. 

Change the nutrient solution in your system’s reservoir every seven days. 

Hydro Coco Grow should be used in equal parts of A and B. Do not use one and not the other. Failure to do this will result in your nutrient solution becoming imbalanced, which could lead to your plants becoming deficient in some way, and more prone to disease. 

And of course, you should never forget to handle these products with care. Never use them together in their concentrated state. Always wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves. When adding each product, ensure that you add them one by one, then mix thoroughly before adding the following product. 

The recommended dosage for Hydro Coco Grow A&B is 2.5ml to 3.5ml per litre of water for both parts A and B.
