How do these light hangers work?

These hangers are very easy-to-use spring-loaded cord dispensers. At the end of its 1-metre cord, each has a carabiner hook that securely and safely positions your equipment exactly where you want it to be. No more tying knots in the line if you need your gear in a particular place or height.

Instead, when weight is applied to the cord or pulled, the hanger will adjust to permit the cord length to get longer or shorter according to necessity. When no load is brought to bear, this adjustable product rewinds itself.

A wingnut attached to the side of the product allows you to fully adjust the clutch tension, thereby setting the weight that needs to be applied before the hanger dispenses the cord.

When the reflector is attached to it with the clutch tension adjusted correctly, the product will allow you to adjust the height easily by gently raising the reflector upwards or gently lowering it. The product will maintain its default position if no lift or weight is applied.

How do I use these hangers?

These hangers are ideal for almost every reflector weighing up to 10Kg; exceptions are the Adjust-a-Wings, the Euro and the branded Adjustable Reflector since these are too heavy for these products to operate effectively. So for those lighter reflectors, it is recommended to use LUMii Rope Ratchet Hangers.

To fit these products, you suspend them from suitably spaced ceiling hooks, staples, or other appropriate fittings. Attach one end of one cord to your reflector and the end of the second cord to the other side of the reflector. Then adjust the clutch tension so your reflector will hang without bobbing up or down.
