How Do They Work?

Grow Room Radiators ensure a stable and even temperature throughout the colder months of the winter and autumn by generating the warmth needed to sustain your grow room at the recommended 25°C during the day and 18 to 19°C at night.

Each of the three models has a thermostat with different operating settings to deal with the demands made upon the heater, and the 2500w version has a timer to switch itself on and off at pre-determined times.

An automatic cut-off function provides a failsafe should there be any overheating issue or if anything goes wrong enough to merit the whole unit switching itself off. This feature will prevent your plants from experiencing large swings in temperature and the stress this causes.

In the colder months, external temperatures are prone to fluctuate quite heavily, which could have an unwanted knock-on effect on your growing space, especially when your lights switch off.

The ambient temperature can quickly drop when grow lights are off at the start of the night cycle. Humidity is also linked to temperature, in that when the room’s temperature drops, the relative humidity will increase, leading to the air reaching its maximum carry capacity. You’ll then get instances when water vapour condenses and sits on flowers and fruit as moisture, causing issues such as rot.

A solution to reducing these issues with temperature and humidity fluctuations is to pre-programme a heater to switch on about half an hour before the grow lights switch off at the start of the dark cycle. This action will allow the heater to pre-heat the growing room.

These GroWarm oil heaters all have an internal heating element that warms up a supply of heat-transfer oil that flows freely inside the radiator’s fins. The oil transfers heat into the growing room using convection and thermal radiation through the fins. The adjustable thermostat lets you control and fine-tune the temperature, while the built-in overheating protection is always there to provide maximum safety and total peace of mind.

The available power outputs of these three models are 500w, 1000w, and 2500w with a timer.

The 500w model is ideal for grow rooms between 80cm x 80cm and 2m x 2m, while the 1000w model is ideal for grow rooms 3.5m x 3.5m. The 2.5kw model with timer is suitable for grow rooms of around 5m x 5m.

How to Use?

The Grow Room Radiator is simple to use and maintain. All three models are portable and can quickly move anywhere around the growing area or from one room to another.

Each comes fitted with a standard thermostat so that you can leave the heater plugged into the mains, and it will only switch itself on when the temperature falls below the setting you’ve pre-selected. The thermostat helps regulate a consistent and stable environment for your plants to grow and flourish.

These heaters are perfect for the lights-off part of the light cycle when a steady temperature may prove difficult to sustain.

Please note: Heaters, like any oil-filled radiators, can become hot to the touch. It is certainly not advised to touch the fins or move the heaters while in use. Always allow the heaters to cool down significantly before moving or handling them.
