G.A.S EC5 Fan Speed Controller

The G.A.S EC5 Fan Speed Controller is a thermostatically controlled fan controller which plugs straight into any Systemair EC fan and is ideal for use in your hydroponic grow room or tent.

It has RTT (reactive temperature technology), which allows it to react to changes in grow room temperature and increase or decrease fan speeds accordingly.

This product is straightforward to set up, and there is no power pack needed due to the Active Cables. The EC5 allows you to set max and min fan speeds for both intake and outlet (exhaust) fans and your preferred ambient room temperature. It also ensures negative pressure is maintained using its integral fan balancer. Negative pressure helps keep unwanted smells from escaping.

This speed controller has a few handy attributes and features, and these include:

1 x G.A.S Active Male to Male Cable – the EC5 comes with one, but you’ll need to buy another if you wish to run a Vector intake fan simultaneously.

Using Hyper Fan V2s, you’ll need an adapter for each device: they already come with cables. Look for the G.A.S Hyper Fan Adapter.

How the EC5 Speed Controller Works

This product is straightforward to use. Connect your G.A.S Vector EC intake and outlet fans using the Active Control Cables (already supplied in the box) to the control connection on the EC fan.

Once connected, place the temperature probe near the middle of your growing room or tent.

Now turn each knob on the controller’s front panel to the desired settings; these include the growing area max and min temperature knobs for your intake fan and the extraction fan.
