How Does Acoustic Ducting Work?

Your ventilation system regulates the air pressure in a grow room, and to maintain a slight negative pressure inside, the air venting from your grow space needs to occur faster than the system pumps fresh air back in.

The opposite also applies when the air pressure inside the grow space is higher than the air outside and will be positive rather than negative if the air is entering faster than leaving. A slight bowing out of the tent walls indicates positive inside air pressure.

Acoustic Ducting helps the airflow in a hydroponic extraction system to channel from the growing area through the fan and carbon filter and out to the exit.

Acoustic Ducting reduces the noise caused by the mechanical movements of the fan and the air as it moves through the venting, continually hitting the duct walls.

How do I use this Ducting?

You can fit this ducting directly over any suitably sized inline extractor fan or carbon filter flange. A compatible duct clip will hold it securely in place, and the ducting can run successfully to your air outlet or inlet.

This product will function at optimal volume if you extend the ducting as much as possible. To reduce this down to the length suitable for your extraction system, you should use a pair of scissors to cut through at an appropriate place.

There are 12 different sizes, all 5 or 10 metres in length, and six different diameters.
