Silver Bullet Roots is a potent and effective nutrient solution additive that works in hydroponic growing systems to protect plant roots from disease and various pathogens.

It operates on the symbiotic relationship between silver and hydrogen peroxide, the two main active ingredients. Pathogens’ natural negative charge attracts silver ions and breaks down their defences. Hydrogen peroxide can then attack them.

How Does it Work?

Silver Bullet Roots prevent pythium in your plants. It also works against virucide, sporicide, bactericide, fungicide and algaecide. It establishes stability in the reservoir for as long as five weeks, is non-corrosive and non-toxic, pH neutral, chlorine-free and very easy to use.

It doesn’t enter the plant tissue at any stage. The silver stabilised H2O2 will decompose over time, despite its high stability, and this will combine with the sterilisation reaction to lead to a release of dissolved O2 in the nutrient solution.

The increased dissolved oxygen in the nutrient solution will cause a corresponding increase in nutrient uptake, which in turn will cause increased growth rates. Pythium is the most pernicious of all the root rot diseases and the one that growers complain of most. There are about 125 different species of Pythium found all over, not just within growing or plant environments.

How to Use?

You can use this product in three main ways.

1. Day-to-day use keeps your growing system clean and free of disease and germs. You should add it at a concentration of between 0.5ml and 0.75ml per litre of nutrient solution about once a week during the whole plant life cycle.
2. As a shock dose in treating diseased plants, add the product to the solution at a concentration of 1ml per litre.
3. For flushing out systems in between grows. Add at a concentration of 2ml per litre, then flush pipes after this application.
