How Does it Work?

This product can remove biofilm as part of keeping your growing environment safe. It is a pH-neutral product that deals with disease, damp and dirty growing areas and uses a hydrogen peroxide and silver combination to kill almost all types of bacteria and fungi, algae and viruses.

This peroxide compound’s combination with silver has made the product’s effects last far longer than they otherwise would. Peroxide usually stops being effective quickly, but the addition of silver increases its effectiveness to about five weeks.

So it is the silver that makes this product so different and effective, especially against bacteria with self-defence mechanisms against the peroxide itself. The silver ions in the product seek out the negative charges of these bacteria and fasten onto them. Once attached, they will break down the bacteria’s protective shields.

Then when the bacteria are exposed, they will become vulnerable to hydrogen peroxide, which will destroy them through oxidation. It then moves onto the next bacterial target, and as it does so, the silver re-stabilises new peroxide molecules.

How to Use?

When handling this product, you should use PPE such as eye goggles, other face protection, and gloves. Do not inhale its vapour. If you do, you should seek medical help immediately. Rinse with water if it gets in contact with your eyes.

Because it’s available in a handy spray bottle, there’s no need to dilute with anything; you spray from its container. Apply directly to the surface at roughly 30cm distance. For more stubborn compounds such as fungi or mould, spray directly onto it and allow it to work for about five or ten minutes before using a cloth to wipe clean.

Do not spray directly onto your plants. The product will kill most types of microbe, both friendly and otherwise, so if you use a friendly bacteria system, then be extra careful not to contaminate it with the spray.

This product will last a long time in terms of its effectiveness, so it will likely be active when you next water the plants – you need to bear this in mind if using biologically or organically based growing methods. The product will get washed down into the soil, killing all microbes, including friendly ones, on the way.
