How Does The Submersible Water Pump Work?

Submersible Water Pumps can move up to 8,000 litres of liquid per hour which they draw through their front and then propel through their rotatable outlet point.

These pumps may be submerged entirely or placed outside the reservoir using an adapter that fits neatly onto the front of the pump, allowing any necessary piping to connect to the inlet point.

How Do I Use a  Submersible Water Pump?

The Newa range of water pumps work well in submersible mode and are extremely easy to use. Attach the hose to the top of the unit; you might find that the pipes need softening, in which case you can stand them in hot or warm (not boiling) water for a while so that they’re easier to bend.

Plug the pump into a mains electrical socket and select the flow rate with the blue control dial on the pump’s inlet side. The fluid will flow through this and then through the pump’s outlet, which is rotatable, so you can accurately choose where you want it to flow.

If you want to use these pumps outside of water, you’ll have to remove the two screws connecting the front of the pump’s panel. Push the inlet adapter over the circular hole around the impeller. You should see that this fits perfectly and securely along the groves of the unit. Finally,  screw the second hose attachment directly onto the adapter and push this onto your piping, which is now your outlet.
