Telos System Link Cable

The Telos System Link Cable is compatible with any Telos AC connections (denoted as green connectors). You can pair it with the Telos H-Connector as an extension cable between Telos light fixtures linked together or use it as a power extension cable.

How does this Telos System Link Cable work?

This cable is versatile and has multiple uses in a busy working hydroponic growing setup.
All Telos grow lights have a driver at the top of their heatsink. It connects to the light fixture through a waterproof black-coded connector but will add extra weight, height and heat by being mounted directly. This cable allows growers to remove the driver from the top and locate it anywhere up to about 2 metres away.

Doing this helps reduce excessive heat and the vertical height of the unit slightly, making it lighter and considerably easier to mount or hang.

Using this product and the Telos H-Connector, the user can use one power cable to daisy chain power from one socket and through multiple Telos lamps.

Disconnect the waterproof green-coded power cable and insert an H-block splitter, enabling several units to be run simultaneously and in sequence.

This cable allows the mains’ electricity to be fed into another Telos grow lamp, thereby saving those valuable sockets for other growing room electrical hardware.

With this product, you’re able to connect the following lights without using a lighting contactor:

• 10 x Telos 0006 or
• 8 x Telos 0008 or
• 6 x Telos 0010

How do I use this cable?

To install the cable, you must first detach the driver unit from the top of the light by filing or cutting off the two locking straps. Once removed, twist the locking ring, so the arrow points to the “open padlock” symbol. You can now disconnect the driver from the light, and the cable is ready to be fitted.

When attaching the connectors, you should ensure that the arrow on the locking ring is in the “open padlock” position. When the connectors are together, you’ll see that the locking ring can rotate so the arrow points to the “locked padlock” and cannot accidentally pull apart.

You may now place the driver unit up to 2 metres away from where it was.

To use the cable and the H-connector, you should first disconnect the green connector on the mains electricity inlet side of the driver by rotating the arrow on the locking ring to the “open padlock” position and pulling the connector apart. Then attach the end of the electricity cable to the side of the H-connector, which has only one connection.

The driver unit can now be plugged into one of the connectors on the side with two connectors on it. The cable can, in this position, supply power to another drive unit entirely.

Remember to secure all the connectors together using the locking ring.

Only daisy chain a few grow lights so that the mains electricity socket doesn’t become overloaded. For safety reasons, use no more than eight separate Telos 0010s, 10 Telos 0008s or 12 Telos 0006s in this daisy chain configuration together from any single mains electricity socket at any given time.
