The SANlight Gen2 Q-Series Magnetic Dimmer assists in optimising the Q-Series LED lights through four distinct levels of power (40, 60, 80 and 100%). This product is only compatible for use with Q-Series generation 2 LED lamps. Each lamp only needs one dimming device.

How Does The Magnetic Dimmer Work?

This Magnetic Dimmer reveals the full potential of SANlight Q-Series LED grow lamps. It has plug-and-play functionality and fits snugly into the LED fixture, letting you switch the output between 40 and 100% in increments of 20%.

Having good control of light intensity from your lamps is helpful when it comes to regulating the actual size of your plants. Lowering the intensity of the light during the early stages of plant life will mean that you’re able to use the same light fixture through their life cycle.

The product has a fade-in-active mode (also called Sunrise Simulation), which allows you to gradually increase the light fixture’s output when it starts up, thereby simulating the lighting effects of daybreak.

All Q-Series 2nd generation LED grow lamps are ready-to-dim. The dimmer comprises a plug and switch, and it plugs directly into the front panel of the LED fixture. You’ll need to use only one M dimmer for each LED grow lamp.

The product has three green LED lights that display the selected dimmer settings. With all 3 LEDs showing, the fixture runs at 100%, and with no LED lights showing, it indicates that it’s utilising 40% of its power. With this dimmer setting, you can precisely control both the input power and the power consumption of your grow lamp. For example, at dimming levels of 80%, the grow lamp consumes precisely 80% of its regular input current.

How Do I Use The SANlight Gen2 Q-Series Magnetic Dimmer?

When activating the SANlight Gen2 Q-Series Magnetic Dimmer’s sunrise simulation for the first time, you’ll need to briefly wait for the green LED lights on the dimmer to flash, indicating that the setting has been saved.

The number of LED lights indicate the corresponding output according to the following:

• 3 Green LED Lights: 100%
• 2 Green LED Lights: 80%
• 1 Green LED Light: 60%
• No Green LED Lights: 40%

When the sunrise simulation function is activated, the luminaire will automatically dim in 5 minutes from 0% to the last dimmer setting made. Orange LED light will indicate this function.

Please note that the M-dimmer is only suitable for Q-series models: Q3W, Q3WL, Q4W, Q4WL, Q5W, Q6W.
