G.A.S Acoustic Ducting

G.A.S Acoustic Ducting is used to build hydroponic air extraction systems to promote the airflow as it passes from the grow area through the fan and carbon filter and then out to the exit location. The noise that all this produces is unavoidable, so the acoustic ducting is there to help dampen it.

How Does it Work?

Your ventilation system will regulate the air pressure in a grow tent. To maintain a slight negative pressure inside, the air venting from your grow tent needs to happen faster than the system is pumping fresh air back in.

The inverse is also true: the air pressure within the grow tent will be higher than the air outside and will be positive rather than negative if the air is entering at a faster rate than it is leaving. A slight bowing out of the tent sides indicates positive inside air pressure.

Ducting allows the air in a hydroponic extraction or ventilation system to travel from the grow room or tent through the fan and carbon filter to the exit outlet.

Acoustic Ducting works to minimise the sound caused by mechanical movements of the fan and the hiss of the air as it passes through the venting and repeatedly hits the ducting walls.
