Shogun Sumo Boost
Shogun Sumo Boost is a powerful flowering stimulant effective from the start of the plant’s bloom stage right up until the final flush. It causes a massive increase in essential oil production by triggering the plant metabolism, and it can add up to 10% to the yield.
Sumo Boost also improves the appearance and flavour of the fruits in the process. We recommend that you use this product if you’re hand watering. If you use an active system (for example, a flood and drain system or DWC), you should use the Sumo Active Boost instead.
Sumo Boost has several attributes and benefits, and these include:
- Concentrated and very cost-effective
- Improves final yield by up to 10%
- It contains the natural phytohormone triacontanol
- Most suited to hand-watering in coco or soil
- Protects from attack by fungi and bacteria
- Stimulates production of essential oils
- Improves the appearance and flavour of fruits
- Improves plant metabolism, efficiency and photosynthesis
Sumo Boost contains triacontanol, which improves photosynthesis, getting the leaves to use more light and make more use of it. The product also increases carbon dioxide uptake and respiration, improves essential oils production and enhances gene expression.
The product decreases environmental stress and enhances the plants’ immune systems, better coping with cold, heat and drought, and damage from diseases.
Triacontanol is extremely difficult to keep stable while in liquid form. The manufacturers spent over two years developing Sumo Boost. Other competing products that claim to have this phytohormone do so in near ineffective quantities, without the stabilising features that Shogun has perfected. Additionally, it contains peptides that allow plants to react to specific environmental signals.
Sumo Boost is a top-quality flowering additive that can work as a foliar spray, or you may apply it through the plant root system. It triggers an upsurge in plant metabolism, which stimulates the production of essential oils, adding up to 10% of the final weight of the crop and giving a much greater flavour and depth to the fruits of your plants.
How to Use?
You should apply this product during a plant’s flowering and vegetative phases for increased growth. Stop using it just before the final flush, which is generally one or two weeks before harvest time.
Make up the base nutrient as usual and add 1ml to 2ml per litre. Then check the pH and the EC levels to ensure they fall within the accepted range for plants of that species and at that stage in the life cycle. Bluelab produces pH and EC tools which you may find helpful in carrying out these checks.
Sumo Boost also works as a foliar feed. Fill your sprayer and add 2ml per litre of water, adjust the pH solution to about 6.0, and spray onto the leaves. Make sure that your grow lights are switched off when you apply the spray, and allow the leaves plenty of time to dry before turning on the grow lights again; otherwise, there is a risk of burning. Repeat this once every week.
As for all nutrients, additives and boosters, never mix in concentrated form straight from the bottle. You should add each product separately and stir well to mix the solution before adding the next one.
