Shogun Samurai Coco A&B is a two-part nutrient for plants growing in coco. It contains two unique ingredients which no other nutrient maker uses, and they increase crop yields by a massive 6 to 8% over conventional NPK products.

How Does it Work?

Samurai Coco is for growing plants in coco. Its ingredients are all top quality, and they supply all of the phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium your plants could need, as well as all necessary micronutrients.

Coco tends to release potassium and absorb calcium, which is why this product has a ratio of these two elements, which tacitly recognises this. This enhanced ratio ensures that no deficiencies occur in your plants, so long as you water your plants daily and you maintain a run-off of at least 20 to 40%.

This product contains an exclusive ingredient called SmartZen, a blend of lignans, sterols, lipids, tannin and hydrocarbons. Altogether, they enhance photosynthesis and reduce the heat stress in your plants. No other competing brand contains these ingredients. The addition of SmartZen increases crop yields by between 6 and 8%.

Samurai Coco also contains another unique ingredient that the clever folks at Shogun have termed AquaZen. This ingredient ensures that the coco fibre remains wetted at the optimum level, thoroughly and evenly, providing the best development for your plants’ root systems. Without this ingredient, there is a danger that the coco may remain unwetted, and the water can flow straight through (called ‘false drain’).

How to Use?

This product is for plants grown in coco in hydroponic systems and for hand-watered plants. It works continuously through the plant’s life cycle in the veg and flowering phases. Aim for at least a 20 to 40% run-off each day for optimum results and ensure that your plants have the healthiest root zone possible.

Fill the hydroponic reservoir or coco feed water tank with water and add equal quantities of Samurai Coco (parts A and B) to the required strength, then stir well to mix. Use between 2ml and 4ml per litre for parts A and B.

Use a beaker or syringe for more accurate measurement of all quantities and use a CF/EC/PPM meter, for example, a Bluelab Truncheon, to check the TDS of the solution. Then adjust this as necessary.

Add any boosters or additives (one by one) and stir well to mix. Shogun’s range of products is excellent for this. Adjust the solution’s pH levels using a pH up or down additive and aim for a pH of 5.8 for optimum results. Use a good pH meter such as the Essentials pH meter for this purpose.

Change your nutrient solution in the reservoir every seven days. It’s essential to use both parts A and B and to use these in equal quantities. Using only some of these, or one and not the other, will result in an imbalance in your nutrient solution, leading to deficiencies in your plants.

Never mix additives in their concentrated form. Always add each one at a time, give the nutrient solution a good stir to mix well, add the next additive, and so on.
